US News and Business Week Rankings for 2011 - 2012 - Full Time

The new rankings for 2011 are out and not much has changed from 2010. However these new B-School assessments are definitely worth a look.
What Changed in this Year’s MBA Ratings?
Among top 20 B-Schools, you won’t see a lot of dramatic changes. While Harvard hangs in to the top slot, it now shares it with Stanford. MIT Sloan nabbed the 3rd spot, overtaking Kellogg and Wharton after sharing the fifth slot with Booth last year. Wharton can’t be happy about falling from no. 3 to no. 5. One of the more interesting fact over the past few years is NYU Stern’s steady march up the rankings. What matters more is the course quality and robustness of each programas well as innovation.

 

Business Week MBA ratings are equally important and can be used as a measure of student satisfaction. Some business school rankings, such as those of BusinessWeek and The Wall Street Journal, are based on surveys of recent graduates and/or recruiters. While they rank the top accredited business schools in the country, the long-term goal of a B-School is to be ranked consistently in the top 10 across the major ranking publications.
